CHRISTCHURCH, this day. Samuel Plimsoll, aged 19, died last evening as the result of injuries received at football. He waa a member of the Christchurch Club's third grade team, which played the Boys' High School on Saturday. Apparently he got a kick on the head, but did not stop playing. He was unconscious yesterday morning, and died m the hospital from concussion.

A drowning fatality occurred while the Corinthic was at Robart, whereby a third-class passenger on the vessel, a young man named Wilfred Cox, 21 years of age, who was oh his way to Sydney to join friends there, lost his life. It was while returning to the ship at night that Cox slipped on the wharf and fell into the harbor. His cries for help were heard by several passengers, but assistance arrived too late. His body was recovered. A death also • occurred on board the vessel through natural causes, an elderly third-class passenger named John Woods dying when the Bhip waa a few days out from Plymouth. The deceased had been ill, and he was buried at sea the same day.
