Allen Main was sentenced to death for murdering Mr Overton, the proprietor of tho Tyne Laundry at Manly, afivr a deadly struggle while Main wis cl'ogrd to be burgling Mr Overton's premises.
Main pleaded guilty, and the jury entered a recommendation for mercy on account of his youth. The defence pleaded insanity.
