A second Shipment of about 3000 cases is to follow^wy^the Paparoa, which loads in Lyttelton on the '12th -inst. A third shipment-* of" 3000 cAses is expected to goTby the "next' direct steamer: About 3000 tb 1 ' cases will go from the Styx^apple'* orchard, and the remainder iiom- other :o_si.hards near. Christchurch. '. The apples will, all be packed under the supervision of Mr "w. J. Courtier> orchard* inspector. They are to be passed by /the Government inspector as »¥opeJfly '.graded* and 'picked and free from disease. The inspector's certificate between the.-producar and/shipper is to he -final and -binding oa -both. Next season arrangements . are "expected to be made for March, - April, Alay, and June atS-£ment3, and it is'expected that 50,000 cabes- at least = will be required.
