PROTESTS FROM MINISTERS

(Special to Herald.) DUNEDIN, this day. A tho South Dunedin Presbyterian Church the Rev. Mr Fairmaid yesterday protested against the trains, trams, and. steamships offering inducement, to people to visit the battleship on Sunday. At the North JBast Valley Presbyterian Church the Rev. H. B. Gray said he felt constrained to bring the matter before his session, who had passed , a resolution strongly protesting against the action of the Dunedin City Council m arranging a special tramway forenoon service, thus contributing still further to the desecration of the Lord's Day, and doing violence to the religious convictions of many of Dunedin's most devoted citizens.

Amongst the visitors to the New Zealand yesterday morning was the Primate, of New Zealand.
