MORE BOMBS.
SUGGESTED COLD STORAGE FOR CONSPIRATORS. (Received May 9, 9.40 a.m.) LONDON, May 8. . A bomb was discovered outside a jeweller's establishment at Tottenham. It was inscribed "Votes for Women." The fuse was not burning. Mr Balfour explains that he would have voted for a Conciliation Bill. Lady Carlisle, at the Women's Liberal' Federation, denounced Mr John Burns for refraining to vote for suffrage. She said that a democrat forsaking their cause because militants threw flower pots at him was not a stable politician. Sir James Crichton Browne, at the Cold Storage and Ice Association banquet, suggested that some women would bo all the better for cooling. It would be a great relief to the publio to ice them down in cold storage and hand them on to the next century. Dr Whaary was. fined £50 for preventing the service of a writ on his suffragist daughter Lilian, in connection with the damage at Kew Gardens.
