MATAWAI SALE.
The N.Z. Loan and Mercantile Agency Co. held a sale at Matawai last Wednesday. About 1600 sheep and 20 head of cattle were offered. The sheep entry comprised mostly lambs, for which there was a fair demand. The prices realised were as follows: Ewo lambs 7s sd, mixed iambs 5s 8d to 5s 9d, woolly lambs Bs, cull lambs 4s ,to 4s 3d, wether lambs Gs-4d. Fat cattle: A few fat cows sold from £4 to £4 ss.
