Messrs Williams and Kettle and the N.Z. Loan and Mercantile Agency Co. offered nearly 600 head of cattle at the Matawhero saleyards yesterday. The following lines were sold:— 64 weaners 255. 2 heifers £3 ss. 72 18 months' heifers 31s, 21 steers £1 9s, 49 18 months' heifers 30s. 52 steers £3, 8 steers £2 15s, 23 steer weaners 28s 6d, 21 heifers 255, 1 dairy springer £8, 1 do. £9, 5 bullocks £5 12s 6d, 24 low-condition cows 31s, 41 mixed weaners 3is, 16 steers £3 19s, 41, mixed weaners 31s, 5 steers £2 7s, 6 heifers 325, 9 cows and calves £2 ss, 2 cows in calf £2 10s, 3 steers £2, 33 steers 355, 8 cows in calf 32s 6d, 44 mixed weaners 295. 12 cows in calf £2 ls, 37 cows £2 16s, 1 cow £2, 11 empty cows £3 7s 6d, 16 steers £3 19s.
