NORTHERN LEAGUE.
A number of footballers met at JMr B. Lucas's shop last night to discuss the project of starting Northern League football m this district. It was decided to form a League, and another general meeting will be held next Wednesday evening, when Mr Gillett, the organiser for the New Zealand >JLeague, will probably be present. A quantity of correspondence from the New Zealand League, which would have been placed before the meeting, had been carried on, and wi!J i be Tead next' Wednesday. ' ■
