The Hon. T. Mackenzi3 has been enquiring in London into the marketing of New Zealand frozen meat, making a round of last month. Most of the meat examined had been landed at Soutliamptop, " but a few carcases Avhich had come through London were in the sheds. It shoAved the usual signs of meat discharged at London — dirty covers, broken shanks, etc. In one ca.se, the High Commissioner states two hind legs and one foreleg Avere completely broken, the shoulder Avas knocked out, and tlie carcase badly bruised. On the Avhole the meat landed at Southampton ! was in good, clean condition, much better in appearance than, that from London.
