General Electric Co.'s (U.5.A..) high tension transformers for the Lake Coleridge electrical scheme. ' Tlie 'price was m , the neighborhood of £10,000. Six of these transformers i are intended foi* raising the voltage at ■ Lake • Cbleridge poAver station from 6600, to 66,000. A r olts. At this pressure the power will be transmitted for some 60 miles to the viciniby of Christchurch. The voltage -Avill then be again reduced by means of another bank of six transformers froni 66,000 bock to 6600 volts. The Cabinet has still to^ deal with orders for several other sections qf the electrical scheme. * "
