BOROUGH VALUATION.
INCREASE OVER A QUARTER OF A MILLION. The re-valuation of the borough has just been completed by the Valuation Department, 1 assisted by Mr James Innes. Notices of tn*e new valuation will shortly be issued to ratepayers. It is understood there has been a general levelling up of values, with a View to removing anomalies which existed m last year's roll. The total rateable valuation of the borough, subject to revision by the Assessment Court, shows an increase of over a quarter of a million, and is set down as follows -. — 1912 ... ... £1,337,351 1911 ... £1,070,000.
