(Received January 10, 9.50 a.m.) SYDNEY, January 10. i The Avireless operator repeats his asI sertion that he heard the Encounter operator talking from Macquarie Island on January Ist. He heard him ask several questions, but was unable to distinguish the replies. Information has been received that the Pennant Hills Avireless station has been heard at Java, a distance of 4500 miles.
