The Presbyterian Assembly to-day unanimously adopted a motion in condemnation of, Mormonism. Mr J. J. Mack (Wellington) was appointed audi'tor, and it was decided to hold the next meeting of the Assembly in Wellington in November, 1912. Thle rain that has fallen in Southland this month lias been astonishingly per^ sistent. Up to last Sunday 3.06 inches had fallen in Invercargill, compared with 0.31 in November of last year. Between Sunday and 9 a.m. yesterday 1.97 inches had fallen, and with the barometer at 29.50 there does not seem much prospect of an early improvement. The total for .Mm. month' to date is 5.04, as against 0.56 for the same period last year. At a meeting of the 'Southland centre of- the New Zealand Amateur Athletic Association, it was decided to hold the next amateur championship meeting at Invercargill on February 21st, 1912.
