TENDERS TO BE CALLED.
At the Hospital Board meeting yesterday afternoon, m continuation 'ot the discussion, as to whether the present hospital should be added to ' or the isolation ward proceeded with at the new site to provide extra accommodation for surgical cases, the Chairman (Mr C Gray) moved that Mr Atkins' suggestion that alternative tenders be called for the erection of the isolation ward .separately and m conjunction with the main building be given effect to before calling tenders for the complete building. — Dr Collins seconded the motion pro forma. He said he would like to hear the opinion of the medical -'superintendent. — Dr Wilson pointed out that an isolation ward on the new site would be difficult to work m conjunction with the present building. He did not consider it advisable to erect the new isolation ward separately. ' '
