HAWKE'S BAY LAND BOARD.
An adjourned meeting of the Hawke's Bay Land Board was held at Gisborne 1 this morning; presents-Mr C. R. Pollen (Commissioner of Crown Lands), " ih the chair, "Messrs G. Wright, and ;R.i M.: Burrell. A letter was received from Mr Eustace Lane, apologising for noiy attend.-, ance, and suggesting the Board's meeting at Gisborne be held on Saturday.— The Comriussioner sai<l iherday of meeting had been discussed before, and it "\had been decided to adhere, to the pre-, sfcuit arrangement. He said the, only thulg^hat could, pc done, was, to alter the day ot.the , meeting, to .Tuesday,, and hold the meeting at Gisborne, ' on. the Wednesday.— The letter, was re? Wl Bright appeared on behalf of the ! applicant,, and pointed out that Mr Burgess had; to move nearer a school, on ' .-account ofUiis children- Mr Burgess ; " would be' on the farm most of his time.
