Two hundred and forty lives are known, to have been lost as the result of the disasters to the coasting craft during the late gale in the North Sea. AMSTERDAM:, October 4. Saturday's storm over the North Sea has been responsible for a great sacrifice of life in Zeeland and other provinces. Of 130 mussel-fishing boats belonging to the village of Bruinisse, 120 have been either lost or damaged. Forty-five vessels wero wrecked in the waterways between Dordrecht, on the Meuse, and the sea.
