KING AND THE BIBLE.

A deputation from various churches, headed by the Archbishop of Canterbury, presented King George with an address and Bible on the occasion of the tercentenary of the authorised version. King George, m replying, expressed pleasure at tho celebration, saying that the labors of the translators deserved lasting honor. For three centuries multiplying; millions of English-speaking people turned when m need to the authorised version, and he hoped his subjects Avould increase and cherish their noble inheritance.
