EARL GREY'S DEFENCE.

Replying to the attack on tho Gover-nor-General for his alleged Connection Avith the Overseas Club, the officials deny that Earl Grey aided the organisation. He ' had merely expressed sympathy therewith. Both members of the Cabinet and Opposition joined the club, which had a non -political scope.
