l WELLINGTON, lost night. ''The . annual meeting, of delegates to the New Zealand Amateur Rowing Association was held last evening, Mr 11. McV illy presiding. The report and balance-sheet were adopted, the latter showing the assets to exceed the liabilities by £55. • Officers tor the year were elected as follows :— President, Mr A. S. Biss (Wellington); vice-presidents, Messrs F. D. Kcsteven (Canterbury) and- H. A. Marriner (Auckland) ; council, W. J. Gaudin (representing Wellington and Canterbury), iC. E. Hammond (Southland), Tl. M. Isaacs (Otago), G. Lauchlan (Wa. nganui), B. A. Morris (Wellington), R. W. McVilly (Otago), J. E. Widdop (Wellington); secretary and treasurer, Mr A. D. Bainfleld (Wellington); auditor, Mr G. C. Fache. It was decided to alter the amateur, definition 7 making it. a breach. of. the gai.ne.tp enter for . a' stake or money ' prize. ' It ' was decided that unless any , representative of the Council objects lit least one hour, shall elapse between the starting of each championship race. The" New Zealand championship!? were allotted to Wanganui, which will '; give . £200 . for the regatta, ,and will offer £46 as an inducement for a Tasmanian crew to compete. The chairman said the. Council had .received a suggestion from a New Zealand representative m Melbourne that a crew, from the - Dominion should compete at the Henley-on-Yarra regatta, but m view 6f the scarcity of funds the Council had decided to .take no action m the matter.
