(Special to Herald.) NAPIER, this day. Sir Joseph .Ward,'' ■ who accompanied Lord Kltchenet* froni /'Rofcorua Napier, had forcibly pressed -home on him the urgency for metalling on theTaupo road. Owing to heavy rain on Friday night the road Avas m very bad order m parts, arid the assistance of Mr Bodley's teanvs. had to be invoked to negotiate the Titokura hill. The Premier promised that the amount placed on the Estimates last session for the road should be expended immediately. Sir Joseph continued his journey to Wellington to attend a Cabinet meeting yesterday.
