LORD KITCHENER,
RETIRING FROM COMM ANU IN INDIA. (Press Assn. — By Telegraph— Copyright) (Received April 2, 9.10 a.m.) LONDON. April 1. Lord Kitchener is retiring from the command of the Indian Army m August. He visits China and Japan, where ho witnesses the army manoeuvres. Lord Kitchener, who has been com-mander-in-chief m India since 1902, is 58 years of age. His disagreement with Lord Curzon as to military control m India led to the Viceroy's resignation m 1905. Lord Kitchener has ' applied himself with • great energy to his reorganisation scheme, wlpchacable yesterday showed he had brought to a state of completeness, fully achieving his, purpose.
