The death of Mrs Baxter removes the most probable source from which might have been obtained information regarding the doings of the family and the behavior of Baxter during the night of the tragedy. Of the two surviving members of the Baxter family, the baby is weaker and sinking, and Phyllis is conscious, but has jno knowledge of recent events. She is paralysed on. one side, and complains of pains m her head. . * /|
