P.B. RIFLE ASSOCIATION.
Arrangements are well in hand to assure the, success of the shooting competition in connection with the above, which takes place; on .' the Kaiti,/ range on^ Monday. Four teams have so far entered for the Teams-Match,' and, it is expected that an interesting and close contest will result. The Gisbome Rifles teams are:— No. 1 team, Corporals Rait, Breingan, and Ly ford, Privates Allan and E. Somervell. No. 2 team, Captain Beere, Sergeant Tay* lor, Privates Thopipson, Barney, and Higham. Emergencies, Corporal Holmes, Sergeant Hay, and V Private McGuffie. The *'E<C.MiRV, also have • two ,- tearns as follows: No. 1, Capt. Tombleson, Lieut. Evans, Q.M. Sergt. Zachariah, Sergt. Kinder, and Trooper Beatson. No. 2, Lieut. Hamilton, Sergt. Cole, Troopers Jennings and McGregor. The . Tiniroto Rifle Club < will also have a strong team in, this being the only one of the four rifle Clubs to-be represented, and it is understood a team of civilians will also be present. Last night. about forty entries were received for other events, and the prize ,list has been, arranged as follows—Dominion Match— lst, Messrs Macky,. Logan, Caldwell and Co.'s trophy, 2nd, Mr Miller's trophy, 3rd Mr E.--W. Burton's trophy,. two cash prizes of 10s and 15* cash prizes of ss; Kaiti Match — Ist Messrs Comriiori, Shelton and Co.'s trophy, 2nd Adair Bros. 's trophy, 3rd Messrs Hannah and Co.'s trophy, one cash prize of 10s, • 9 cash prizes of ss; Aggregate— VLst Messrs* L. ,D. Nathan and Co. s* trophy,. 2nd Mr J. Townley's trophy,' 3rd Mr T. Adams' trophy, three cash prizes of 7s 6d, and' four cash prizes of ss. Shooting will commence at 8 a.m. sharp, and competitors are requested tp be on the range ': punctually.
