THE RAILWAY SETTLEMENT.
(Press Assn.— By Telegraph— Copyright). LONDON/Nov. 8. , There is widespread satisfaction at the ■settlement of the railway dispute. One result mus a' sharp advance in some of the railway shares. The Amalgamated Society of Railway Servants resolved in favor of accepting an honorable settlement, and* urges members to give the machinery a fair trial. (Received November 9, 8.20' a.m.) Mr Richard Bell, intervie^ved, said that neither himself nor the society's executive were thoroughly . satisfied, but the schenul was a great step h^ advance, and afforded complete machinery for the rapid redress of grievances. ■; -The Daily Telegraph ."advises the application of the ; principle of the railway settlement to all trades.
