The scow Alert sailed for Ngunguru yesterday forenoon. The Union Coy's Talune arrived from Auckland shortly before noon yesterday, and sailed for south about 7 o'clock, taking a large number of excursionists. Messrs Richardson and Coy's Rum arrived from Akitio early yesterday morning, with 3255 pbsts. She sails foi* Napier at 7 o'clock this evening. Tlie ketch Coronation arrived from Tairua at 9.30 last night. Captain. Page reports leaving Tairua on Friday morning at 10 o'clock. S.W. winds prevailed across tlie Bay of Plenty, and passed East Cape at 7 o'clock on Saturday morning. Fine weather was experienced down the coast until arrival at 9.30 last night. The schooner liaeo was sighted yesterday morning heading into Tolaga Bay. The cargo consists of 80.000 ft timber for Mackrell and Colley. The auxiliary schooner Kereru arrived this morning with about 70,000 ft timber for Evans, Nield and Co. and 2000 ft for transhipment to the a.s. Kaeo. The Kereru left Tairua at noon on Saturday. A gale from the westward was experienced until 8 o'clock that night. After that calms and very light N.W. and W. winds prevailed until this morning, when a stiff breeze sprang up from the S.E. . East Cape was passed at 6 o'clock last night. Captain Bi-jnck reports passing the scow Waikonini off Cape Runaway at 9 o'clock yesterday morning on her way to this port, • The Union Co.'s Haupiri left Auckland at 5.30 last night for Coast bays and Gisborne.. The Union Co.'s Squall was later m reaching Auckland than she was expected to be, and consequently will not leave that port until to-night for Tolaga Bay and. Gistxime. She is due on Wedncsnesday, and sails for Napier, Tolaga, and Auckland. The Union Co.'s Mokoia, which arrives at Auckland from Sydney this week, doubles "back across Tasmiui Sea, and the Waikaro comes down the coast m her place. The Manuka will be the next Union boat for Sydney, to arrive here from South on November 9th, and it is intended to keep her m the East Coast service. The Shaw, Savill and Albion Co.'s Arawa arrives from Auckland next Thursday to. load about 5000 carcases mutton, 100 bales wool, and 100 casks tallow and pelts. From here the Arawa goes on to Napier, thence to Wellington, from which port she sails for London on November 7th. Messrs Dalgety and Co. are the loading agents. The Tyser Oo.'s Whakarua. arrives here from Napier about the middle of November to load frozen meat, wool, etc., for London. She returns to Napier, and is ! expected to leave Wellington for London direct on November 24th, m time for the January wool sales. Messrs Williams I and Kettle, Ltd., agents. I TELEGRAPH SHIPPING. Napier: Arrived (6 a.m.), Talune, from Gisborne. Bluff : Arived (7.40 a.m.), Warrimoo, from Hobart, with English mail.
