MONTGOMERY ENTERTAINERS.

Of "Parsifal," written by ths Rev. T. Hillhouse Taylor, the scenic wonders of wliich will be unwound by Mr Edmund Montgomery en Wednesday next, at His Majesty's Theatre, a contemporary says : "It is 'first and foremost the scenic and spectacular which grips the attention, charming the eye with the pastoral tenderness of". the Lake of Healing, and the peaceful simplencss of the Grail Mount, steeping it m the glories of the Temple of the Grail, with thc sense of height and distance, and m the splendor of Klin_sor's Castle. Every art and application of the stage manager seems to have been called to aid the realisation of the story, beginning with the touch of ruby light upon the point of the Sacred Spear, and the hilt of a Christian Knight's sword, and culminating m the shattering devastation of a mighty fastness, bourgeoned one moment on roses, and m the next overwhelmed, its great -walls and columns broken, its smiling garden wrecked; while shining through the darkness and desolation there glows the distant cress on the Grail Mount, standing , as a sign that Parsifal's search was nigh its end and Kundry's curse nearing its removal." The season -will consist 0 f four evening and one afternoon performance.
