SHIPPING INTELLIGENCE.
The Union S.S. Co.'s s.s. Talune arrives from Napier to-morrow morning, and 'thence, proceeds to Auckland; last beat 9 a.m. Messrs Huddart, Parker and Co.'s s.s. Victoria arrives from' Sydney and Auckland to-morrow afternoon, and proceeds south m the evening, the last boat at present being fixed for 5 p.m. The U.S.S. Co.'s Wanaka loads at Bluff about August 6th, Oamaru Wednesday, and Timaru Thursday, for Napier, Gisborne, and Auckland. . The U.S.S. Co.'s Squall, which left Auckland for Gisborne via Tolaga Bay on Saturday evening, had not been reported from the East Cape or along the coast up till 3 o'clock this afternopn. The following passengers have booked for Auckland by the steamer Talune tomorrow morning: Miss Begbin, Mrs Prdbert. Mrs Mellsop and 2 cliildren, Messrs Dallen, W. W. D. Payne, G. Stokes, Hannay, Dalziel. Tne river to-day was clear of outside shipping of any kind. . The Lyttelton Harbor' Board's new steam tug Canterbury, now on her way from Glasgow to ' Lyttelton, will be the most powerful vessel of her class m New Zealand. The vessel was built at Port Glasgow by Messrs Ferguson Bros., and delivered alongside the wharf at Lyttelton, her cost will be £13,980.
