East Cape 'reported : S. light breeze ; barom. 29.96, therm. 46, cloudy, high tides, moderate sea. Rain was reported at Hokianga, Kawhia, Raglan, Castlepoint, Christchurch, and Invercargill to-day, and the weather at other towns was gloomy. Light variable winds prevailed, and the sea was from smooth to moderate at all ports.
