J (Per Press Association.) ! CHRISTCHURCH, last night. The Addington sales took place to-day Fat cattle : 177 head were yarded. The sale opened! at previous rates, but fell off towards the close, when lower prices were accepted. Best steers made £9 10s to £12, others £6 15s to £9; heifers £5 17s 6d to- £8 2s 6d. and a few £9 to £9 12s 6d; cows £5 2s 6d to £8 10s. Fat sheep : Tliere was a large entry of good quality and prices all round were od to Is belofr the previous week. Wethers, prime, liroughl 22s 6d to 27s 6d. medium 18s lid to 225; ewes, prime, 21s to 255. 6 d, medium to 20s 6d; others 15s 6d to 18s; merino wethers 20s to 25s 6d ; ewes 14s lid to 19s Bd. Lambs: There was a small entry of tegs, which sold well. Extra 21s to 265, good 18s 10di to 20s 3d, others 15s 8d to 18s 7dL Pigs : Fats were m short supply and porkers were dull of sale, but tliere was an improved demand for stores. Baconers made 42s to 51s od, equal to 4d per lb ; porkers 25s to 425, equal to 4£d ; large stores 25s to 30s, medium 18s to 245, weaners 9s to 16s.
