An important grain case was heard m the Ashburton District Court, before his Honor Judge Ward and a' special jury. Hugh Kennedy, of Elgin, farmer, sued fhe New Zealand Farmers' Co-operative Association to recover the sum of £450 Is Id, being the amount accruing from a sale of wheat made by the association, and which plaintiff alleged had been sold without any instructions from him. The jury, after an absence of ten minutes, gave a verdict m iavor oi the plajntiff.
