KENNIFFS CAPTURED AT LAST.

BRISBANE, June 23. A telegram from Mitchell announces the capture of the Kenniffs. The Kenniffs stole a bag of wheat from a selector near Mitchell. .

A party of four police and a couple of trackers traced them to the scrub. They. went in their bare feet and surprised the Kenniffs in camp before sunrise. They shot two out of four of the Kenniffs'' horses.

Pat Kenniff was unarmed.

Jimmy had two loaded rifleß. The men bolted, and the police firing at them, Pat fell. He had not been hit, but was captured. -Jimmy escaped to the scrub, but as the police were returning with their prisoner Jimmy was again seen. The police,.keeping up a running fire, ran him to bay, and then ordered him to surrender. He agreed to do so if Pat had not been shot, and added,-"I am tired of this life!" Being assured that Pat was ajl right, Jimmy quietly gave up his rifles and surrendered. .<^ The Kenniffs hacf their camp wejl stocked with ammunition and fobcf.
