The match, between Maclaren's English team of cricketers and the eleven representing Victoria was -resumed to-day, when the Victorians completed their first innings. Their total score was 133, thus leaving them 33 behind the Englishmen, whose first innings had closed for 166. The following scores were made : — VICTORIA— First Innings. Worrall .- 0 Graham 26 McLeod 29 Armstrong 6 r McMichael 14 Stuckey 9 McAlister 22 Layer 22 Collins 1 Saunderson 1 - Fry, not out 6 Sundries 9 Total 133 Bowling Analysis : Barnes, 5 for 61 ; Blythe, 3 for 37; Braund, 2 for 26. Barnes bowled one no-ball. The Englishmen, then went m for their second innings, the scores being as follows : — ENGLAND — Second Innings. McGahey 57 Hay ward, not out ... ... 38 Braund, not out 3 Extras 9 Total for one wicket ... 107 The match was continued m fine weather. The attendance was large. The v wicket, after being rolled, was good. Graham played with, characteristic freerom, and showed some pretty cricket. When McLeod had scored 10 he was clean bowled by Barnes with a no-ball. He took over an hour to put his score of 29 together. The batting of the Victorians was, on the whole, not of the usual standard. The features of the play were the excellent fielding of the Englishmen and the consistently good work of the bowlers. The visitors made a good start Sn their second innings. McGahey's batting was especially attractive. Both he and Hayward were let off m the field.
