LOSS OF THE HESKETH.

(Per Press Association.) Gretmodth, this day. The official inquiry into the wreck of the steamer Hesketh was held to-day. Gaptain Black said everything was apparently going well till about 150 ft from the south tip, when three rollers struck the ship, one after another. The first struck her on the starboard side, and the next took her bodily out of her proper course. He did all that was possible to prevent the vessel getting into danger, but sea after sea drove her on to the north beach. This evidence was corroborated by the second officer aud harbormaster. The finding of the Court was that the captain and officers were acquitted of all blame in connection with the accident.
