Some boilers got adrift in the hold, and were only secured after four days' continuous exertions on the 10th ins,t. For two days the situation was desperate. The ISiitish steamer Wolvistone commenced to tow her, but the cable broke. They separated in the night, but met again on the l.'ith. The I'avoma was then safely towed to the Azores. The passengers and crew are ail safe.
