The Daily Telegraph says there is no doubt Sir Herbert Kitchener will be appointed Governor-General of the Soudan on resigning his Sirdarship. Captain Marchand made a claim on behalf of France to Fashoda, but was unable to Bhow any authority to make such a claim.
