NOTICE. npHE Harbour Board intend, on the 26th -*- June, 1896, to strike a Special and an Ordinary Rate on ratable property of the whole Harbour District, in the proportions of the different parts of the said District, of 9-16ths of a Penny in the £ on ratable property in the Borough of Gisborne, 9 32nds of a Penny in the £ on ratable property in the County of Cook, and l-16th of a Penny in the £ on ratable property in the Tolago and Waiapu Districts, to be made under the provisions of " The Gisborne Harbour Act, 1854," and the several amendments thereof, " The Crown and Native Land Rating Acts Repeal Act, 1888," and under sections 37 to 44 (both inclusive) of "The Rating Act, 1594," for tho annual period commencing on the Ist day of January, 1896 ; payable in two equal instalments, on the 30th day of June and the 30th day of September, 1896, to provide interest on £200,000 loan.
