IT is hereby publicly notified that it is the intention of this Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by "The Counties Act, 1586," section 148, and "The Rating Act, 1894," section 2, to proceed at its next meeting, to be held at Waipiro, on WEDNESDAY , the Ist day of July next, to make a General Rate for the year ending on the 31st day of March, 1897, of Three Farthings in the Pound on all the ratable property in the occupation of Europeans within the County, and of Three-eighths of a Penny in the Pound on all the ratable property iv the occupation of Natives. This rate shall be payable iv one instalment on the 15th day of July, 1896. The Rate Book is now open for inspection at the office of the Council, Waipiro Bay, during office hours.
