WOOL SALES.

The wool market is animated. Competition is hardening, and has a tendency to increase. At the wool sales a choice selection was offered, and sold at top prieea. Continental buyers took the largest proportion. The Bradford market is quiet. Top makers demand Id advance, bub the spinners refuse. CnRISTCHUROH, to-day. The third wool sale of the seaßon was held yesterday. A little over 11,000 bales were catalogued. There was a large attendance of buyers, and competition was brisk throughout. As compared with the previous sale crossbreds showed a little change, coarse wools being perhaps a shade better. Merinos, however, showed a distinct advance in values of Jd and Id, station clips ranging from 7d to 7.fd. All felltnongera' lots aroused good competition. The bulk of the wool ia in good condition, being light and bright.
