The Reciprocal Treaty.
Adelaide July 27. The Register, commenting on the Premier's advocacy of the New Zealand treaty, because it would open up a lucrative wine market with New Zealand, says if it commanded the whole market in New Zealand it would be a mere drop in the bucket as compared with the total wine production of South Australia. Besides it is likely to shut down the markets of the other colonies. To supply the demand of English customers will tax the resources of the colony during the next generation, even if an enterprise daunting Government, should not utterly prostrate our producers.
