GOLD MINE ROBBERY.

■ *■ Brisbane, Sept. 24.— Seven Mount Morgan and two Rockhampton miners have been arrested on suspicion of extensive robberies of gold at the Mount Morgan mine. The robberies hare extended over a number of years. The arrests were effected by a large body of police and detectives. Some sensation was caused, and other arrests are expected. The supposed leader of the gang, who was managing the affair, was arrested whilst disposing of some of the amalgam to a Rockhampton storekeeper. Detectives have been engaged in the mine as workmen for months past preparing for the coup.
