A Fight at Sea.

Timaiuj, yesterday. There was a lively row on the s.a. Morayshire between Oamaru and here last night. Seven firemen have been arrested for assaulting Captain Millar and the first and second engineers, and a passenger named Wilson. Belaying pins were used, and a knife was out. The captain had to draw his revolver to quell the disturbance. The men will be brought up this afternoon.

The row on the Morayshire arose out of the grievance the men had about their accommodation. The assaults were not serious and no damage was clone. The Court sentenced the two ringleaders to four months hard labor. The rest were discharged and ordered to forfoifc six days' wages and pay the costs. Three or four men were put on at Oamaru in place of the strikers, and were so intimidated that they dare not work,
