Waimata -Ngakoroa Special District. NOTICE is hereby given, that this Board will proceed by Special Order, at a Meeting to be held on the Ist clay of April, 1893, to confirm the following resolution : — " That a Special Rate of three-eighths of a penny in the £ be made on all rateable property within the Waimata - Ngakoroa Special Rating District. The said Rate shall be for a period of 26 years, commencing on the Ist day of July, 1893, and ending 30th June, 1919, and shall be set apart for the purpose of providing interest upon a sum of £200, to bo obtained in terms of ' The Government Loans to Local Bodies Act, 1886,' to carry out the particular public works set forth in the proposal agreed to by the Ratepayers of the said Special District, and carried at a Poll taken on the 25th day of February, 1593. The Rate so struck shall be a recurring rate, due and payable, in two equal instalments on the Ist day of July and January in each year." Hv. McKAY, Clerk. NOTICE is hereby given, that this Board intends to execute a public work, viz., the Extension of Stout street, North Gisborne, through Mangapapa Block, and to take for that purpose the following land : — 1 acre 2 roods 5 perches, being portion of Section 7, Block ill., Turanganui Survey District, and kuown as Whataupoko IV. or Mangapapa. Any person who objects to the taking of this land, or who will be injuriously affected by the proposed extension of the street, is required to state such objection in writing, and send it to the Board's office, Gisborne, on or before the 20th April, 1893. The works proposed are road formation and drains for the passage of surface water. The owner's name is H. Gully.
