• The half-yearly sessions of the Supreme Court commence in McFarlane's Hall on Monday morning next at 10,' JO. His Honor, Mr Justice Oonolly, arrives from Auckland on Friday and will hold a sitting of the Superior Court of Bankruptcy on Monday morning at 10*30 at the R.M. Courthouse. Below is a list of the cases which come before His Honor : — CRIMINAL. Regina ?\ Takane, attempted suicide. Regina v. Humphrey, breaking and entering. Regina v. Laing, burglary. Regina r. Croft, embezzlement (8 charges). Regina v. Fitzgerald and McKcnna, horsestealing. CIVIL CASES. Alfred Wondhead v. the Mayor, Councillors and Burgesses of the Borough of Gisborne. Claim £500, damages sustained through falling over a heap of stones. — Mr L. Rees for plaintiff, and Mr Finn for defendant ; to be tried by judge. John Muldoon v. William Henry Tucker and Pete Moreti (otherwise Betty Morris). Claim £205 15s, damages for illegal distress. — Mr Finn for plaintiff, and Mr Day for defendant ; to be tried by judge. BANKRUPTCY. In re George Bell, application for discharge. In re James Smith, application for discharge. In re Tutekohe, application for discharge.
