It is considered probable that tho Departmental Committee established by Jilr Gosulieu will recommend trustees being allowed to invest in colonial securities when colonial stocks have averaged 105 six months prior to the investment being made. A Bill drafted by Sir F. D. Bell will be introduced into the Imperial Parliament next session dealing with unclaimed stock dividends. Foreigners resident in the colonies having made complaints to the Colonial Office of the difficulty hi securing complete naturalization for the whole of Australia, the Home authorities expi'ess themselves in favor of amending the naturalization laws so as to fall in with the views of the petitioners. A formidable infernal machine has been discovered in the house of a tenant on the Clanricarde estate, who was about to be evicted. The strike executive are squabbling among themselves. They dispute Mr Tillett's authority to invite the Hamburg dock laborers to work with the London Union. There has been LIOO voted to the stevedores' fund. Mr Bums has moved that the balance in the hands of the Dockers' Union be applied for the purpose of maintaining their position and of relieving distress. He appeals to the mediators to support him in his view.
