Auckland Live Stock Market.

Auckland, to-day. The following is Messrs Hunter and Nolan's weekly report : —

Horses : Dullness has characterised the demand, and the supply has only been an average one. About the usiml number wove entered for disposal at the Durham yards on Friday. The demand was brisk for those of a good stamp, but inferior animals were not wanted, and were slow of sale. We quote hacks at from L 5 to Lil ss, medium draught and light harness from LG to Ll4 10s.

Wool, Hikes, Skins, etc. — Some small parcels of wool have been disposed of, and aie being freely stored for the tirst sale of the season on Wednesday, 21st mat. Hides and skins were in moderate numbers on Tuesday at the Durham yards. Bidding was brisk, and there was an upward tendency in value, particularly for heavy ox hides. We quote ox hides 3id to 4£d per lb, cow 2d to 3d per lb. calf skins 3d to 4^d per lb, wool 7d to 3^d per 11), sheep skins 2s 4d to (is 4d each, lambskins Is 3d to Is 7d each, pelts 7d to 8d

each

Cattle. — The number brought •forward has been quite up to the average. The demand was not keen, and previous week's values were barely maintained. The Newmarket yards were fairly well tilled on Tuesday with all descriptions, but competition lacked spirit. Dairy cows advanced slightly in value. There was a good muster of grown steers from the north, which sold at from L 2 Os to L 4 Ik ; beef 11s to 16s per 10011). Some averages of fat beasts were — L 77s 6d, LC! 10s, LCi, L 5 17s (sd, L 5 15s, L 5 12s 6d, L 5 7s 6d. Cows, L 4 10s, L 4 7s Gd, L 3 17s 6cl, L 3 ss, L 3 2a Gd.

Sheep. — An increased number were yarded at Newmarket on Tuesday, but no prime heavy weights. Shorn wethers sold at from Js 4d to Is 8d per stone of 8 pounds ; ewes, Is 4d to Is Cd ; lambs, from 5s 6'd to 10s Gd.

Picjs. — But few were yarded, but of good quality, and sold at from 2kl to 3d per lb li ye weight.
