Merino and crossbreds showed an advance of 7Aper cent, asccmipared with the closing rates of last series. The copper market is excited at LIO ; Glasgow pig iron is quoted at Win. At Nottingham to-day the Marquis of Salisbury addressed a public meeting, attendod by 12,000 persons. In referring to the present labor agitation lie advised the employers of labor to shorten the hours of work, bufc thought ifc would be a mistake to interfere legally. The total quantity of wheat and flour afloat for the United Kingdom is 1,808,000 quarters, and for the Continent 444,000 quarters. The American visible supply of wheat is 31,125,000 bushels. The wool arrivals to date comprise ono hundred and seven thousand eight hundred bales, of which nine thousand six hundred have been sent forward. Adding the quantity held over afc October sales tlie total quantity available for next sales i.s one hundred nnd fifty two thousand bales. NEW YORK, Nov. 28. One hundred and sixty houses and one hundred boot factories, covering an area of sixty acres, have lieen destroyed by fire at Lynn, a manufacturing towu in the State of Massachussets.
