The claim brought by the owner of the steamer Centennial against the owners of the Kanahooka for damages and loss sustained in collision, in which the former steamer sunk, has been dismissed. The owners of the collier Kanahooka were awarded L 2335 damages and costs. The Judge held that the collision between the steamers Centennial and Kanahooka bad been brought about by the master o_ the former vessel. (Received November 28, 1.20 p.m.) Nov. 28. The railway transactions for the year show the gross earnings to be L 2,538,000 and working expenses L 1,634,000,, 634,000, leaving a net earning of L 904.000, which upon the capital invested on lines open, gives a return of 3% per cent.
