It is expected to be a short session, dealing principally with financial questions, and will probably prorogue towards the end of next week. (Received November 27, 1.15 p.m.) In the course of an eulogistic leading article on the New Zealand and South Seas Exhibition, the Sydney Morning Herald remarks that with the people of Australia, the welfare and progress of New Zealand is a subject in which they will alway.s take the liveliest interest. In speaking on the coming events which are now casting their shadows before them, the question as to whether New Zealand will fall in line and make a common cause with the rest of the colonies, or set herself to work out a destiny of her own, is far from being one to which the smallest interest or importance should be attached. The Herald thinks it probable that the incorporation of New Zealand in the future Federal Union of Australasia will lie an element of health and safety. Arrived : Ship Candia from Hamburg.
