ENGLAND'S YOUCY.
SPEECH BY MR GLADSTONE. London, Dec. 29. Mr Gladstone in a speech at Dover strongly opposed Protection, which he thought had died some forty years ago. He complained of the Marquia of Salisbury's ambiguous remarks on the Protection question. Referring to the disturbed state of Europe he said he trusted that England would refrain from interfering in any European quarrel.
