Sydney, to-day. The Intercolonial cricket match was resumed yesterday, the New South Wales team resuming their innings. They were all got out for 80, of which Garrett made 28. The visitors in their second innings made 68 runs, thus leaving the home team 50 to get to win the match. They went in again, and when stumps were drawn for the day they had lost two wickets for 19 runs. The match waa resumed this morning. A race between Hutchins, the English runner, and Malone, 250 yards, took place yesterday. The former led all the way and won easily. Time 25] seconds. [la case of Malone winning the matches with Hutchins, he would have been pitted against Meyers, the champion of the world. Movers was trying to arrange another match with George, who is also in •Sydney, but perhaps he will also meet Hutchins now. Malone's match was for £400.] A match between the Cricket Club and a team combined from Banks and Law will be played on Saturday afternoon. The players will be picked from the following: — Club : Messrs Arundel, Ballantyne, Booth, Bull, Evans, Innes, Johnstone (capt.), E. Lewis, Staite, Valpy, O. J. Veale, Witty, and Wyllie. Banks: Messrs Barnard, Brown, Bourn, Louden, Sage, Morgan, Smith, and N. C. Veale. Law : Messrs Lysnar, Nolan, Pavitt, Rees (3).
